My short story The Place of the Dead was published in May in Blackwitch Press's Exiles: An Outsider Unthology
Men who call you 'my friend' when they really shouldn't, nightmare-stalking dentists, snake charmers with no charm at all, pharmacists barely seen in the tobacco fug of their shops, drivers who are - no other way to describe it - just taking you for a ride, an Aussie girl with sticky-out ears and an American stealing the Tour de France. A young British couple are faced with choices on a trip round Morocco, and perhaps the Place of the Dead is the perfect place to make them... but perhaps not...
Edited by Paul D Brazill, it's published by Blackwitch Press. It features a host of talent, among which I'm very happy to be numbered. Please buy a copy: all profits go to the Marfan Foundation, which funds research and channels aid to sufferers from Marfan Syndrome.
How I Got to the Place of the Dead
Editor Paul D Brazill asked all contributors to the anthology to say a bit about our stories, and my contribution is here.
