I've been talking about my upcoming novella A Blue Coast Mystery, Almost Solved with Chris Rice Cooper for her ongoing blog project The Photo Feature Story - which, as the title suggests, uses artists' photos to give the text a little bit of time-and-place context. That text is partly about the emotion behind writing a particular part from a work, and I chose an excerpt from the book that conjured up a handful of memories from my past, and, as a writer who makes stuff up, from the pasts of others.

You can read it all here. Even if the text doesn't do much for you, you can giggle at the photos with my blessings!
